Until I get my sitemap done, I thought I'd mention just a couple of housekeeping things... You can always click on the "davezuck.com" logo-link at the bottom of any page in order to get back to "home"... Ahhh, I wish life was always so easy... (Pause)... Some days I actually feel like an artist... When I let my enthusiasm run its course... And pay no mind to the pace... Resting when I tire... Oblivious to the time... Doing when I usually question... But today, I'm reminded of website "housekeeping"... and any visitors will have to click and explore... in order to find...

I think the notepad "link" you clicked from my homepage to get here... looks a little like Bart Simpson's head profile... except he's got a bad case of trees freeze on the brain, eh...

Today, I am thinking again about those artists who have inspired me... and mentored me...

My favorite "famous" artists are Emily Carr and Thomas Hart Benton... I love the rhythm and flow... the color and storytelling qualities... the focus on an ignored landscape... that to me is beautiful and important...

Closer to home, are two mentors, Dorothy Odland and Lorrie Weidenbruch... specifically, oil painting mentors and peers... who have supported me in pursuing my passion for art... Dorothy is an instructor at MCA, and I periodically sit in on her advanced painting class when I feel that need for outside studio time or just want to connect with a wonderful community of artists.. Lorrie is a dear childhood friend, who trades photos of art back and forth with me from time to time...
